Update: Ben Moore Attends Wall of the Fallen After I-24 Crash

Two weeks after he was struck on westbound I-24 in Chattanooga, Ben Moore of Doug Yates Towing and Recovery attended the International Towing and Recovery Museum's Wall of the Fallen name unveiling on Oct. 17.

Moore has been recovering at Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital. On Saturday, Hamilton County EMS paramedics Kyle Gambarrotti and Alex Thompson, who treated him at the crash and took him to the hospital, met up with Moore and his wife, Shelby, at Siskin. They brought him to the ceremony so he could see his coworkers again and honor operators killed in the line of duty.

"I'm lucky enough. I don't know how, but I'm lucky enough that I survived and I can tell my story," Moore told NewsChannel 9.

The driver who hit him on Oct. 1 was cited under the Move Over Law and for failing to use due care and failing to stay in their lane. No new criminal charges have been reported.

October is National Slow Down, Move Over Month. When you see flashing lights on the shoulder, slow down and move over. It protects tow operators and every roadside worker.
